Abstract Background Scope Model Overview EXPRESS short listing Implementation and Part 21 File
This part specifies an application extension for Solid Model Construction History that includes structures for exchange of parametric, geometrically constrained features on solids and history-based information. The following are within scope of this part:
— Geometrically constrained solid models containing parametric features.
EXAMPLE 1- Solid models whose dimensions are related through a parametric relationship.
— Representation of implicit entities and operations to enable exchange of history-based models.
EXAMPLE 2 - If a profile is extruded to generated a solid model, a vertex sweeps out an implicit edge which may later be filleted.
— Structures from Part 42 Ed 2 for exchange of Constructive Solid Geometry using Boolean operations (regularised) of union, intersection, and difference on solid primitives, manifold breps, and other solids.
— Exchange of 'current result' advanced Brep solid models
The following are outside the scope of this part:
— Construction history for surface or wireframe models.
— Non-manifold geometry.
